VIC

Working as an independent real estate agent in VIC will require a Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice to work as an agent’s representative, and the Diploma of Property – Agency Management, in order to run a real estate agency as a fully licensed agent.

NSW

A Class 1 Licence is required to work as an independent real estate agent in NSW. This licence can be obtained only with a Diploma of Property (Agency Management).

SA

To operate as an independent real estate agent in SA, individuals must complete the Land Agent course, also known as the Diploma of Property (Agency Management).

WA

Any operation of an agency or independent real estate agent work can only be conducted by those who have completed the Diploma of Property Agency Management WA.

NT

The NT Government Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety requires a real estate agents to hold a either a Diploma of Property (Agency Management) or the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice to conduct independent contractor real estate work.

TAS

All entry-level real estate agents in TAS must obtain the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, but only those with a Diploma of Property (Agency Management) will be allowed to apply to the Tasmania Property Agents Board for a Real Estate Licence for independent work.
