If you do not already have a USI, head to the USI website to create one: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi
To be able to create a USI, you need to be able to provide verifiable ID (Drivers licence, Australian passport, Australian Birth Certificate, Medicare card etc) – a full list is available on the USI website.
To create a USI, you must:
- click the link above (https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi)
- Select ‘create USI’
- Use a personal email address, not a shared or work email
- Provide one form of ID
If you already have one or are unsure, head to https://www.usi.gov.au/students/find-your-usi and follow the instructions to retrieve your USI number.
