Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal assessment method that recognises ones existing skills, knowledge and real world experience as evidence towards the completion of recognised Units of Competency (UoCs), possibly reducing the amount of standard training and assessment for the individual.
Credit Transfer (CT) refers the process of students receiving formal recognition for previously completed Units of Competency (UoCs). UoCs must be identical or ‘equivalent to’ as per training.gov in order to receive the outcome ‘CT’. The credit transfer process involves the student providing their Statement of Attainment of completed Qualification issued from the Register Training Organisation (RTO) they completed the UoC(s) with. Students will also need to complete a permission form to allow Entry Education to verify the provided document. Credit Transfers can be applied for at any time but it is best to request this before you begin your training.
