Working in real estate offers tremendous opportunities for people with imagination, good interpersonal skills and a capacity for weekend work.

To join the real estate industry you need professional qualifications that are issued by the state or territory in which you live. One of the most efficient ways to obtain those qualifications is by enrolling in real estate courses online.

By studying real estate courses online you can learn skills at your own pace and in your own place. At Entry Education, most of our students are able to complete their chosen course and obtain their professional qualification within a matter of weeks. All they need to study with us is a computer, internet access and a comfortable spot to study.

It’s important to study with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) so that you’re completing government-approved courses and will be legally qualified to work in the real estate industry. You can check if the organisation you’re studying with is an RTO by looking them up on this government website.

Before enrolling in real estate courses online, think about your personal career ambitions. What area of real estate do you want to work in? It’s a wide scope. Property management, buyer advocacy, real estate sales, management and auctioneering are just a few. We all know someone who studied a course that was a bad fit for their long-term career goals. Don’t be that person. Take your time and find the course that aligns with the career you want.

There are online courses available that are tailored to the licensing and registration requirements of multiple states and territories. At Entry Education, we’re a one-stop shop where you can find most of them.

There’s registration as an assistant agent in New South Wales, a licensed real estate agent in Victoria, or an auctioneer licence in Queensland – or anything in between.
Here are some of the reasons it makes sense to study real estate courses online:

  • Real estate and property management professionals are in great demand throughout Australia.
  • You’ll be entering a challenging, variety-filled career where one day is never the same as the next.
  • You’ll reap direct rewards from your hard work and talent.
  • You’ll have the privilege of helping people make some of the most important decisions of their lives.
  • When you start in an entry-level role, you have many opportunities to work your way to the top.

If you prefer face-to-face learning

Each of us has our own learning style, and some prefer in-person education.
We have a face-to-face learning option at Entry Education, and our students work via the Webex platform in real time with a tutor. They ask questions and learn, not only from the tutor, but from their fellow classmates as well.
It’s great to offer this choice to students. It enables them to select the learning style that suits their circumstances best.

Real estate courses in Sydney and New South Wales

Entry Education offers a full range of real estate courses in Sydney that will qualify you to work in NSW real estate.

At entry level, there’s the Assistant Agent Certificate course that requires the completion of five units of study. This will enable you to work under a licensed NSW real estate agent in the areas of property sales, property marketing, property management and more.

From there you can go on to the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) course that leads to a Class 2 real estate licence. This course requires the completion of 18 study units. As a Class 2 real estate licence-holder, you’ll be authorised to buy and sell residential and commercial properties, and manage owners corporations and rental properties. However, you won’t be able to open or manage your own agency.

If being your own boss is the goal, you’ll need to complete the Diploma of Property – Agency Management (CPP51122) course. To enrol, you need to have a NSW Class 2 real estate licence under your belt. Then earning a Diploma of Property – Agency Management (CPP51119) will qualify you for a NSW Class 1 real estate licence, which is required to own and operate a real estate agency.

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a real estate auctioneer, there’s a perfect course for that too. The Auctioneer Accreditation course includes three units of study taken from the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) course. In order to enrol, you’ll be required to hold a NSW real estate licence or have already completed 15 of the 18 study units for the CPP41419 course.

Prefer the bush to the big smoke? Take a look at the stock and station agent’s course. You learn how to sell livestock and agricultural equipment on behalf of farmers and graziers throughout regional NSW. The stock and station agent qualification can be earned through two routes. You can either enrol in a Dual Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) (Stock and Station) or complete the five-unit stock and station elective unit cluster if you already hold a Certificate IV (41419).

Once your course is complete, you can apply to NSW Fair Trading for your real estate licence, certificate of registration or accreditation. Then, the only limit to what you can achieve is your talent and ambition.
