This CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice licensing course is designed for both new entrants looking to start their career in real estate and current assistant agents who already have their Certificate of Registration and who would like to obtain their Class 2 Real Estate Licence NSW. Successful completion of the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is an educational requirement when applying for a Class 2 Licence. Though you can start this course at any time, you will be required to meet minimum industry experience and other requirements set out by Fair Trading NSW to become a Class 2 Licence holder. This means you can work in a wide variety of roles as a real estate agent, but you cannot operate your own real estate agency.

The CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice has no formal entry requirements.

Prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

The CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is the educational requirement to apply for a Class 2 licence with Fair Trading NSW.

A Class 2 licence allows you to:

  • act as an agent for a client to sell, buy or exchange property, businesses or professional practices
  • negotiate with clients and vendors
  • collect rent, deposits, bond payments and fees related to a lease, licence or contract.

Though you can start this course at anytime, you will be required to meet minimum industry experience and any other requirements set out by Fair Trading NSW to become a Class 2 licence holder.
