This Certificate IV licensing course is designed for assistant agents who already have their Certificate of Registration and who would like to obtain their Class 2 Real Estate Licence NSW. As a licensed Class 2 real estate agent, you’ll be able to work in sales, leasing, owners’ corporations, residential and commercial property management and more. However, a Class 2 licence does NOT allow you to open or operate your own real estate agency; for this, you would need a Class 1 licence.

Of these 18 units, you can select 13 elective units based on the area of real estate you want to work in.

The Certificate IV core units here are the five units that make up the Assistant Agent Certificate, and they don’t need to be repeated if you’ve already successfully completed them as an assistant agent.

Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice means you can apply for a Class 2 Real Estate Licence. This means you can work in a wide variety of roles as a real estate agent, but you cannot operate your own real estate agency.

The Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice has no formal entry requirements.

To complete this real estate practice course it’s recommended you have a high-level of language competency and numeracy skills, as well as computer skills.

A Class 2 Real Estate Licence in NSW will qualify you to work as a real estate agent.

Holding a class 2 licence, you can sell properties, run marketing campaigns, work in property management and act as a buyers’ agent without supervision.

Once you’ve received your certificate of attainment from Entry Education you can apply to Fair Trading NSW for your Class 2 Licence.

There are no due dates, and you can complete the Certificate IV course at your own pace with no deadlines, meaning you can work around other commitments.

Will this qualification help me to get my Class 2 Real Estate Licence in NSW?

Yes. It is a requirement of NSW Fair trading that all Certificate of Registration (Assistant Agents) transition to a Class 2 Real Estate Licence in NSW within a 4-year period by completing this course – the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice NSW.

Who issues my certificate or statement of attainment?

Entry Education is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 41529) and we issue students with their certificates, statements of attainment and transcripts of results.

Real estate students receive soft copies (PDFs) of their certificate within 48 hours of successfully completing their course. This certificate is accepted by the government and all agencies. Hard copy certificates can be printed and posted to you for a fee.
