Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate)

Real Estate Licence in Victoria – Certificate IV in Property Services (CPP40307)

This is our full real estate licence course, and completing it is the minimum requirement to work as a real estate agent in Victoria.

The course is designed for people currently working as agent representatives. Once you’ve successfully completed this course, you can open your own agency.

Options for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) are available at an extra cost.

Changes to the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307 course

From 30 September 2021, the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) course will close and a new course will replace it.

To be eligible to enrol in the new course, Diploma of Property (Agency Management) (CPP51119), you will first need to complete the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419).

The Diploma of Property (Agency Management) is composed of 12 units and you will have 24 months to complete it. It enables you to work as a principal real estate agent and open your own agency.

There are no formal entry requirements prescribed in the training package, however students must complete the three units that make up the Agents Representative Program (consisting of units CPPDSM4007A, CPPDSM4008A, and CPPDSM4080A) prior to completing the CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).

It is recommended entrants have high level language, literacy, and numeracy skills and computer skills prior to commencement.

Assessments are conducted within the Entry Australia student portal. Learning material is provided to students via a PDF document for them to use while completing the questions. Access to student support is readily available to all students.
As a student, you have ongoing unlimited support throughout your course. A direct message system in the Entry Education portal enables you to seek support when you need it. This includes weekends and outside 9–5 office hours.

Entry Education is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 41529) and we issue students with their certificates, statements of attainment and transcripts of results.

Students receive soft copies (PDFs) of their certificate within 48 hours of successfully completing their course. This certificate is accepted by the government and all agencies. Hard copy certificates can be printed and posted to you for a fee of $20.

The CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) is the academic requirement needed to apply for a real estate licence in Victoria.

To enrol in this Certificate IV course you also need to have completed the three units that make up the Agent’s Representative Certificate

When you’ve successfully completed your course, you apply for your real estate licence through the Business Licensing Authority, which is now part of Consumer Affairs Victoria.
