Government-subsidised real estate and mortgage broking courses for those in Canberra and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

Entry Education is offering real estate and mortgage broker traineeship ACT courses with significant subsidies from the Australian Capital Territory Government. Whether you’re located in Canberra or elsewhere in ACT, there has never been a better time to kickstart the next step in your career with a government funded traineeship!

Entry Education are pleased to offer a number of real estate and mortgage broking courses to students for subsidised costs through these traineeships. Our Training Initiative Funding Agreement means that you can enter into a traineeship course that will qualify you for a brilliant career in real estate, finance and mortgage broking.

This ACT traineeship offer extends to the following courses:

Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) (Previously known as ACT Real estate Licensing course) OR
Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821) OR
Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (FNS50322)

To qualify for a real estate or mortgage broker traineeship ACT, you must:

study with a Registered Training Organisation such as Entry Education (RTO 41529)
register in an Australian apprenticeship / traineeship. Entry Education can guide you through this process

The real estate or mortgage broker traineeship ACT course will typically run for approximately 12 months within a combination of on and off the job training and face-to-face or virtual contact with your trainer.

Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419)

Current real estate traineeship ACT opportunity:

If you live in Canberra or the ACT and want to become a Class 2 real estate agent, then this traineeship is for you. The training combines one of Entry Education’s most highly regarded courses with an ACT Skills-approved apprenticeship. This is your once in a lifetime opportunity to take advantage of a subsidised industry-leading training course!

Entry Education’s Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) course (Previously known as ACT Real estate licensing course) requires that you complete five core units and 13 elective units of study.

As a Class 2 real estate agent you’ll be able to:

negotiate property sales
negotiate leases of commercial and rental properties
and manage commercial and residential properties.

This course is included in Entry Education’s Training Initiative Funding Agreement with the ACT Government. As a result, we’re able to offer the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) course to our students at reduced cost.

Certificate IV or Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking

Current mortgage broking traineeship ACT opportunity:

If you’re looking to upskill and work in mortgage finance, then Entry Education has two courses for you to choose from as part of our subsidised traineeships in ACT.

The Funded Activities Agreement Entry signed with the ACT Government includes subsidised access to the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821) course, or the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS50322) course.

The diploma course is perfect if you’re looking for a more senior management role in real estate finance.

The Diploma of Finance requires the completion of 15 study units, but if you’ve already obtained the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821) only seven additional study units are required.

Am I eligible for a subsidised training course?

In terms of qualifying for the courses, there are no formal academic entry requirements for enrolment in the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821), the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) or the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (FNS50322).

For our mortgage broking and real estate traineeships:

To qualify for the ACT Training Initiative Funding Agreement subsidy for the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management, you must be employed or about to be employed in the relevant industry to your study.
To qualify for the ACT Training Initiative Funding Agreement subsidy for the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, you must be new to the industry. This means working less than three months full-time or 12 months part-time.

For all the above qualifications:

You must not have previously completed the qualification you are seeking to enrol into.
You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen who has been in Australia for 6 plus months.

What is a traineeship?

Traineeships are work-study arrangements that combine practical experience with formal training through a registered training organisation such as Entry Education (RTO 41529).

Our traineeships in real estate and mortgage broking also:

require a valid training contract between the trainee and the employer
provide skills and experience that are highly valued by prospective employers.

Entry Education are extremely pleased to be able to offer subsidised training to those in Canberra and the ACT. As the real estate and property industry continues to boom across the ACT and Australia, being able to provide accessible, industry-leading training is something we are immensely proud of.

How do I apply for traineeship in ACT?

If you want to enrol in one of the above courses through a government-subsidised traineeship, you’re in luck! Entry Education are here to help you kickstart the next step in your career. Contact the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network or talk with your current employer, who can then reach out to Entry Education about your traineeship coursework.

Once you’ve decided to enrol with Entry Education for a traineeship course, we will:

test your LLN (language, literacy and numeracy) skills to ensure you’ll be able to succeed in your course
ask you to fill out a couple of forms and sign a training agreement
talk with your participating employer about your training needs to ensure you get the instructions and hands-on experience to succeed in real estate
confirm that your employer can provide the training resources and facilities you need.

Once that’s all done, you can begin your Certificate IV or Diploma courses. Your coursework, along with the practical work experience gained through your traineeship, will position you for a successful career!

We may, in certain circumstances, be able to count your existing knowledge and life experience as recognition of prior learning (RPL) towards your certificate.
