Government-subsidised real estate and mortgage broking courses for those in Canberra and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

Entry Education is offering real estate and mortgage broker traineeship ACT courses with significant subsidies from the Australian Capital Territory Government. Whether you’re located in Canberra or elsewhere in ACT, there has never been a better time to kickstart the next step in your career with a government funded traineeship!

Entry Education are pleased to offer a number of real estate and mortgage broking courses to students for subsidised costs through these traineeships. Our Training Initiative Funding Agreement means that you can enter into a traineeship course that will qualify you for a brilliant career in real estate, finance and mortgage broking.

This ACT traineeship offer extends to the following courses:

To qualify for a real estate or mortgage broker traineeship ACT, you must:

  • study with a Registered Training Organisation such as Entry Education (RTO 41529)
  • register in an Australian apprenticeship / traineeship. Entry Education can guide you through this process

The real estate or mortgage broker traineeship ACT course will typically run for approximately 12 months within a combination of on and off the job training and face-to-face or virtual contact with your trainer.

In terms of qualifying for the courses, there are no formal academic entry requirements for enrolment in the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821), the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) or the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (FNS50322).

For our mortgage broking and real estate traineeships:

  • To qualify for the ACT Training Initiative Funding Agreement subsidy for the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice or the Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management, you must be employed or about to be employed in the relevant industry to your study.
  • To qualify for the ACT Training Initiative Funding Agreement subsidy for the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, you must be new to the industry. This means working less than three months full-time or 12 months part-time.

For all the above qualifications:

  • You must not have previously completed the qualification you are seeking to enrol into.
  • You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen who has been in Australia for 6 plus months.

Traineeships are work-study arrangements that combine practical experience with formal training through a registered training organisation such as Entry Education (RTO 41529).

Our traineeships in real estate and mortgage broking also:

  • require a valid training contract between the trainee and the employer
  • provide skills and experience that are highly valued by prospective employers.

Once you’ve decided to enrol with Entry Education for a traineeship course, we will:

  • test your LLN (language, literacy and numeracy) skills to ensure you’ll be able to succeed in your course
  • ask you to fill out a couple of forms and sign a training agreement
  • talk with your participating employer about your training needs to ensure you get the instructions and hands-on experience to succeed in real estate
  • confirm that your employer can provide the training resources and facilities you need.

Once that’s all done, you can begin your Certificate IV or Diploma courses. Your coursework, along with the practical work experience gained through your traineeship, will position you for a successful career!

We may, in certain circumstances, be able to count your existing knowledge and life experience as recognition of prior learning (RPL) towards your certificate.
