Restricted Sales Registration – WA

To work in real estate sales in WA, you’ll need to qualify for Restricted Sales Registration.

This will allow you to work in residential, commercial or rural sales. You can also work as a buyer’s agent, business broker and in other sales-based roles.

There’s no property management involved in this course and it doesn’t qualify you to open your own agency.

The course is composed of 13 online units and you have 12 months to complete them.

Before you enrol:

The Restricted Sales Registration course qualifies you to work in real estate sales.

While you can’t open your own agency or work in property management, you can be employed in a number of sales-based roles such as residential, commercial and rural sales, business broking and as a buyer’s agent.

There are no educational requirements for this course; however, you will need to complete an LLN quiz prior to commencing your study.

During the registration process you also need to register for a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Reliable internet and access to a desktop or laptop computer is required to complete your course.

The course is made up of 13 units.

These 13 core units are:

  • CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
  • CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
  • CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
  • CPPREP4101 Appraise property for sale or lease
  • CPPREP4102 Market property
  • CPPREP4103 Establish vendor relationships
  • CPPREP4104 Establish buyer relationships
  • CPPREP4105 Sell property

Electives (Select 3 out of the following units):

  • CPPREP4201 Appraise commercial property
  • CPPREP4202 Establish and maintain vendor and lessor relationships and networks
  • CPPREP4203 Complete commercial property sale
  • CPREP4204 Establish commercial property lease

Note the course includes some units from the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP414119).

To qualify for Restricted Sales Registration in WA, you must provide a statement of attainment. This is issued to you by Entry Education (RTO 41529) after you successfully complete your course.

Once you have your statement of attainment from Entry Education, you can apply for Restricted Sales Registration from the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS), which is the real estate industry regular in WA. This will enable you to work in real estate sales and other sales-based roles within the industry.

How is this program delivered and how long do I have to complete it?

The course is delivered online and is self-paced. So there’s no pressure to meet deadlines, and you can work around your own work commitments.The only commitment you have is to complete your Restricted Sales Registration course within 12 months.

What support will I receive?

As a student, you have ongoing unlimited support throughout your course. A direct message system in the Entry Education portal enables you to seek support whenever you need it. This includes weekends and outside 9–5 office hours.

Who issues my certificate or statement of attainment?

Entry Education is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 41529) and we issue students with their certificates, statements of attainment and transcripts of results.

Students receive soft copies (PDFs) of their certificate within 48 hours of successfully completing their course. This certificate is accepted by the government and all agencies. Hard copy certificates can be printed and posted to you for a fee of $20.
