Entry Education has a contract with the South Australian Government to provide subsidised mortgage broking and real estate traineeships. The following courses are available at a greatly reduced cost:

  • Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) *Note this offer includes eight additional complementary study units that qualify you for both Property Manager Registration (PMR) and Sales Representative Registration in SA.

Your coursework

The coursework for any real estate traineeship in SA described here must be provided by a Registered Training Organisation, such as Entry Education (RTO 41529).

You’ll be required to successfully complete core and elective units that are related to the sector you plan to work in.

To qualify for your Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419), you’ll need to complete 18 study units in total. The additional eight study units provided with this real estate traineeship will provide the units required to register as a property manager in South Australia.

To qualify for a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821) you need to complete 12 units of study.

The Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS50322) course requires the completion of 15 units, but if you’ve already obtained the Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (FNS40821), only seven additional study units are required.

To be eligible for the South Australian Government real estate traineeship or the mortgage broking traineeship, you must be:

  • starting or working in the industry without previously having completed the qualification course attached to the traineeship you wish to enter *Note completion of the Property Management Registration course does not preclude entry into a Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice traineeship.
  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen who has been resident in Australia for a minimum of six months.
  • you must not have previously completed the qualification you are seeking to enrol into.

The South Australian Funded Activities Agreement program provides government subsidised training courses to help job-seekers gain employment and advance in their chosen profession. This means a real estate traineeship is now available to you for a greatly reduced cost.

Traineeships are work-study arrangements that combine practical experience with formal training through a registered training organisation such as Entry Education (RTO 41529).

Traineeships also:

  • usually require between one and two years to complete
  • requires a valid training contract between the trainee and the employer
  • provide skills and experience that are highly valued by prospective employers.
