If you an experienced mortgage broker or banker, you can complete your qualification by applying to Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This process uses a combination of traditional assessment and RPL.
RPL enables you to provide examples of workplace documentation that can be aligned to the course requirements and reduce the volume of assessment a new entrant would otherwise be required to complete.

The FNS50322 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management is a nationally recognised qualification accepted by associations and aggregators in Australia’s finance and mortgage broking industry, such as the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
This course will provide material for advanced broking services and taking on the responsibilities of operating your own brokerage.

How is the FNS50322 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management delivered, and how long do I have to complete it?
This program is delivered via self-paced online learning. Finance and Mortgage Broking Management students will have access to all study material, learning resources and assessments within the student portal. There are no specific due dates, and we encourage students to take their time; however, the assessments must be completed within 12 months from their date of registration. If students require an extension, this can be arranged.
Do I need to complete the Certificate IV before the Diploma?
No. You can directly enrol in the FNS50322 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management course – many of the Certificate IV course modules are covered in the Diploma. Attaining the Diploma will enable you to work as a finance or mortgage broker for non-consumer loans, join industry associations, and start your own brokerage.

What are the requirements to complete the FNS50322 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management?
There are no formal entry requirements for those looking to register into the FNS50322 Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management course. Students will need to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment before beginning the finance and mortgage broking course. You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.
There are just 15 units that are required to receive the necessary qualifications. Beyond that, students will need reliable internet and access to a personal computer to complete the course.
