The FNS40821 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking replaces the previous FNS40820 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking course.
In our FNS40821 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking course, you’ll learn about processing loans, including credit applications; identifying clients’ finance and mortgage broking needs and the relevant, necessary legislation that will ensure your work is always legally compliant. Developing and maintaining customer relationships is fundamental to this course. This course is eligible for 20 CPD points with the MFAA and 15 CPD points with the FBAA. At the time of completion, we will send you the CPD point codes.

If you wish to work as a mortgage and finance broker, you’ll need to have completed the FNS40821 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking. This course contains all the information you’ll need to craft a successful career. If you’re looking to further your finance and mortgage broking career, completion of this course will provide many valuable skills that’ll benefit you in the long term.
Prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

Reliable internet and access to a personal computer are also necessary to be able to complete this course.

The FNS40821 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking course comprises 12 units; seven core units and five elective units.

The seven core units to be completed are:

  • FNSFMB412 – Identify client needs and present broking options
  • FNSINC412 – Apply and maintain knowledge of financial products and services
  • BSBPEF501 – Manage personal and professional development
  • FNSCUS511 – Develop and maintain professional relationships in financial services industry
  • FNSINC411 – Conduct work according to professional practices in the financial services industry
  • FNSFMK515 – Comply with financial services regulation and industry codes of practice
  • FNSFMB411 – Prepare loan applications on behalf of clients

The five elective units have been selected by Entry Education based on relevance and local industry needs. They are as follows:

  • BSBOPS304 – Deliver and monitor a service to customers
