A good auctioneer is someone that generally has a passion for professional real estate practice and property, feels comfortable with public speaking (the more confident you are in your own voice, the better!), and is able to remain calm under pressure or stressful situations.
Most auctioneers will have a background in real estate, sales, property industry, or public speaking. However, that’s not to say that these are prerequisites for the real estate auctioneer licence in QLD. For others, they may be genuinely interested in the auction process, have good communication skills, and love the excitement that comes with conducting a complete auction sale.
