Hear from finance and mortgage trainer Carissa Louca
Meet Carissa Louca, a real expert when it comes to mortgages and finance. She’s not only a successful mortgage broker running her own firm, but she’s also passionate about teaching others through Entry Education’s mortgage broking online workshop course. Let’s get to know Carissa better, learn from her experience in the world of mortgage broking, and hear more about the mortgage broking training benefits.
Carissa’s journey in the mortgage broking industry started 13 years ago at a Big 4 Bank, working through various lending roles before becoming a self-employed mortgage broker with the help of a mentor.
Over the years, her personalised approach, commitment to excellent service, and industry training and coaching have earned her a reputation as a trusted and respected industry leader.
“I am committed to supporting new brokers in building a strong foundation for their new career as a broker,” she says.
Carissa believes online workshop courses are invaluable for aspiring mortgage brokers, citing flexibility, access to real-time expert insights, interactive learning, practical application, case studies, and networking opportunities as key benefits.
“Textbooks may have been written eight years ago and are not up to date with the latest information. This industry is forever changing, and you need to keep up. Having an expert on hand to assist you is a valuable tool that others will not have,” she explains.
Her advice to those considering enrolling in a mortgage broking online workshop course?
“You can never be overeducated. Sign up and start ASAP. There is a lot to learn and a big industry to service.”
As the mortgage industry evolves, Carissa sees online education as a fixture in mortgage broking training.
“I think we are already there with online education, and it’s here to stay. If an online option is not available, I find students will not bother with that organisation. You’ll find that banks and lenders have already moved to online and digital training systems it’s preferred in the industry.”
“Mortgage broking is not simple. It can be complex. Learning on the job is still a big part of this journey, which is why it is so important to have access to experts that are involved in the online training before you jump in.”
