Regional Victoria’s property market is flourishing, and Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo holding stronger growth than some of the suburbs in Melbourne. If you’ve been looking at learning how to become a real estate agent in Melbourne alone, it may be worth expanding your horizons to all of Victoria.

For an increasing number of Victorians, regional cities within commuting distance to Melbourne’s CBD are attractive alternatives to big-city living. The latest Domain House Price Report showed that Melbourne’s median house price in the 2021 June quarter increased by $41,000 to $1.02 million. Impressive right? And it’s not just Victoria that is seeing stark growth in the property market; the entire country is seeing record growth. In the three months to June 2021, Australia experienced its highest quarterly growth on record.

If you want to hit the ground running with the right skill set, then you need to make an informed decision about where to study.

Learning as an adult is a different experience from being at school. Adult learners generally prefer no-fuss learning without time-wasting admin tasks or paperwork. They want first-class student support and, ideally, they don’t want that support to end when the office door shuts.

It’s only possible to understand students’ needs by listening to them, and when you put your students at the centre of everything you do, you create a welcoming and productive learning environment. After-hours student support is important because most adult students work in day jobs and are time-poor. These are things to consider when selecting where to study for your real estate licence or certificate.
